Mental Faculties (內心的能力)

"Our higher mental faculties are perception, will, imagination, memory, reason, and intuition."

「我們的內心的高等才能為認知、意志、想像、記憶、推理、及直覺。」

• "faculty" 這裡是「天賦；能力」的意思。 我們將逐一討論這幾個能力。

Hope (希望)

"Hope is a phenomenal emotion. Hope gives you options. When you have hope, you see all kinds of options. You see doors instead of walls. You start trying to make a door out of a wall. You see openings everywhere you go.There is opportunities flying at you."

「希望是一個極好的情緒。希望給你選擇。當你有了希望，你將看到各種選擇。你會看到門而不是牆。你開始試圖從牆中打出一扇門。每個所到之處你將看入口。機會從四處向你飛來。」

• "phenomenal" 是「非凡的」；"phenomenon" 是「現象；非凡/傑出的人」，為名詞。這裡的 "wall"「牆」是用來比喻 "障礙"，而 "door"「門」則用來比喻 "機會"。我們有能力創造、內化、及表達任何事情。這世上還有人沒有希望，若你遇到這樣的人，花 5 分鐘的時間與他談談，給予他希望。
  

Romance (浪漫)

"Romance is a behavior. It's an idea... It's being in a beautiful flow with an idea... It's directing very positive energy in harmony with the law of rhythm toward an idea, another person, or a situation."

「浪漫是一個行為，是一個想法… 它是與一個想法處於一個美麗的狀態下… 它是將非常正面的能量，在與韻律法則協調一致的情況下，傳送給一個想法、一個人、或一個情況。」

• "flow" 是「流；流暢」；"in a beautiful flow" 上面翻為「在一個美麗的狀態下」。"direct" 這裡當動詞用，是「把…對準」的意思。"in harmony with..." 是「與… 協調一致」。"rhythm" 是「韻律；節奏」。"toward" 就是 "to" 的意思。這裡所說的泿漫並不限於將正面的能量傳至另一個人身上，重點是內心與一個想法處於一個 beautiful flow「美麗的狀態下」，並將正面的能量有節奏地傳導出去。

Enthusiasm (熱忱)

"Enthusiasm is when you are emotionally involved in an idea and you move into the spirit of it and you are going to find your energy just keeps going up and up... you are putting your whole being into a phenomenal vibration. Enthusiasm is without question, being in tune with the higher side of you."

「熱忱是當你在情感上與一個想法牽連，且進入該想法的精神，而你將發現你的能量持續上升…你把你整個人放入一個極佳的震動頻率。熱忱毫無疑問的，是進入你高等的那一面。」

• "phenomenal" 是「非凡的；極佳的」。"in tune with" 是「瞭解…；使一致」。我們今天要擁抱的情緒不是 "excitement"「興奮」，而是 "enthusiasm"「熱忱」。興奮與熱忱是兩件完全不一樣的事，興奮是當一個人受到一件好事刺激所產生的情緒，它的相反是 "depression"「憂鬱」，也就是受到壞消息影響所產生的情緒。擁抱熱忱，你的心情將不再被外界影響，並使你能吸引好的事物。"the higher side of you" 指的是你無限潛力的內心 (或潛意識)，當你擁有熱忱時，你的內心將會告訴你下一步要做什麼。

Sex (性)

"Sex is an expression of an idea, an emotion, on a physical level... It's a powerful concept... When two people have a great sexual relationship, their ideas have a repport, their emotions have a rapport, and therefore the ideas and emotions are expressed through the physical body."

「性是想法及情感在肢體層面的表達… 這是一個非常有力的概念… 當兩個人有很好的性關係，他們的想法有了默契，他們的情感有了默契，因此想法及情感藉由肢體來表達。」

• "expression" 是「表達；表示」，為名詞；"express" 則為動詞。"rapport" 是「 互信；融洽」，為名詞。性是一個非常強大的觀念，它不是一個骯髒的概念，我們應去了解它並享受它，而不是排斥它。
